Pascal Lee of Blarney Photgraphic Club is running a trip to Kenya in September to photograph wildlife and the local people.The trip is restricted to 10. They have members from Blarney, Cobh and the Blackwater clubs travelling. They have two places left and Pascal wants to know if any member of Kilkenny Photographic Society is interested in going. Day 1: Ireland- Nairobi. Arrive at Nairobi Airport aboard KLM flight at 20.30 hours. Meet and Greet by Current Holiday World Travel representative. Transfer to Nairobi Comfort Hotel.

Day 2: Nairobi – Masai Mara Game Reserve. Pick up after breakfast then depart for Maasai Mara drive past the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Proceed across savanna plains of Masai country to arrive for lunch and afternoon game drive. Return to the camp after sunset, dinner and overnight at Mara Sidai Safari camp.

Day 3: Masai Mara Game Reserve. Full Day. Morning and Afternoon game viewing- lunch is packed in boxes for bush picnic break. Visit Mara River to see Migration pattern of Wildebeests and Zebra crossing river with crocodiles cutting in to block them making a kill- what a spectacle! The famous Masai Mara is renowned worldwide for great herds of plain game and is home to the ‘Big Five’: elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard. The hyena, cheetah, jackal and wild dogs roam the vast wilderness for prey amongst the animals like wildebeests, zebra, giraffe and antelope. Visit the Masai village to learn local people, lifestyle, songs, culture and education. Return after sunset for dinner and overnight at Mara Sidai Safari camp.

Day 4: Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru National Park .Early breakfas. Depart for Lake Nakuru National Park arriving for lunch at Merica hotel and check in for accommodations. Afternoon game viewing at Lake Nakuru Park to see flamingos, pelican and Egyptian goose. Look for lion, leopard, buffalo and white rhino who lives in this park’s sanctuary area. Other animals to be seen here are: Giraffe, waterbuck, hyena and zebra. See the Eagle’s Nests at the great wall cliffs of the view point and many other birds. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Hotel Bontana.

Day 5 Lake Nakuru – Amboseli. Leave Nakuru at 07.00 am after breakfast.  Drive to Tsavo West National Park. Arrive in afternoon for game viewing and check in at Ngulia Safari lodge. This park is wilderness at its best with semi-arid climate where you plateau, savanna grassland and forestry, mountain ranges and old larva flow. Species of animals to be found here are elephant, leopard, giraffe, buffalo, rhino and lion. In the background scenery on a clear weather, you can see Mount Kilimanjaro. Return for dinner and overnight stay at the Ngulia Safari Lodge.

Day 7: Amboseli-TSavo West National Park.  Full day. Early Morning game view. Return to the lodge for breakfast. Visit Mzima springs to see the hippo, crocodile and fish from inside a water house structure. Drive around the park, game viewing en route as you depart for Nairobi where you arrive late afternoon at your hotel – Comfort Inn Suites.

Day 8: Departure/ Outbound flight to next destination. Pick up at 05.00 am from Comfort Inn Suites Transfer to the airport for outbound flight home
