This Thursday night, 24th May, we will have the results of the “Dystopia” competition. There will also be a number of panels on display. Dieter Rowe-Setz and Denis O’ Reilly will show their panels from the recent distinctions sitting in Mullingar. We will also be showing the club’s black & white and colour panels from the recent National Club Championships also held in Mullingar. Our results were as follows

The Colour Panel got joint 6th place
 
The Monochrome Panel  9th place
 
The overall standing of the Kilkenny Photographic Society is 7th place out of 24 Clubs.
Well Done to Catchlight Camera Club who were the overall winners for the second year in a row.
Evening Trip to Kells Priory and Mill.

Evening Trip to Kells Priory and Mill.

This week at the club is an outdoor trip. Could those intending to travel meet up in Woodie’s car park to leave at 6.30pm for Kell’s Priory and Mill. The light should be good until 8.30pm and remember to capture a few images for the Bio Diversity project.

Also remember the closing date for the last competition of the year “Dystopia”(projected) closes on Sunday 13th May.

This Thursday Julie Corcoran AIPF from Breffni Camera Club will be our guest speaker. Julie will be showing us images from her  “Dreamscapes” panel and other projected images.

The winners of the Transition Year Photography Competition are on display for the next few days in the Book Centre window.

Don’t forget that the closing date for the “DYSTOPIA” competition is Sunday, 13th May. Make sure your entries are properly sized. Check out members area if you are unsure of how to do this. Also have your entries in on time. The deadline is midnight on the 13th.
