SACC Competition Time 2019

The SACC Photographer of the Year is the regional qualifying round for the IPF Photographer of the Year Competition. The competition takes place on the 5th January 2019 at the Horse & Jockey Hotel, Co Tipperary. The best overall image in SACC region is awarded the Seamus Scullane Memorial Trophy. The competition is open to individual members in all affiliated SACC clubs. There are 6 categories available to enter: 3 open and 3 themed. See below for full details.

Details This competition, (previously known as the SACC Print & Projected Image Competition), is the SACC regional qualifying round for the IPF Photographer of the Year Competition. SACC Nature Competition 2019

Details The SACC Nature competition is a regional qualifying round for the IPF National Nature Competition and usually take place in January with the IPF national finals taking place in February.  This competition is open to individual photographers in SACC affiliated clubs.
Images submitted must comply with the definition of Nature Photography as published by FIAP in the FIAP categories.

Successful Distinctions November 2018

The November sitting of the IPF Distinctions took place in Thurles IT last Saturday, November 24th, 2018. Congratulations to Kilkenny Photographic Society member Bernie Kelly who received her Licentiateship with the IPF. Congratulations also to Andy Magan, who gained Associateship with the IPF. The standard on the day was stunning from LIPF, AIPF and FIPF. Congratulations to all concerned. Distinctions are currently held four times a year and we would love to see more members applying at the next sittings. March[No Fellowships ajudicated at this sitting] – 2019 May[All Levels] – 2019 September[All Levels] – 2019 November[All Levels] – 2019 Once again, congratulations to both Andy and Bernie from all of us in the Society! Both Bernie and Andy will be displaying their successful panels at our next meeting Thursday 29th November 2018.

Kilkenny Photographic Society IPF Shield Success 2018

Congratulations to Matt Whitby and Bernie Kelly! Matt was awarded a IPF Gold Medal in the Colour panel section for his image ‘Tetris Apartments’. Bernie was awarded High Commended also in the Colour section panel for her image “Red Wine’. Kilkenny Photographic Society were also awarded 3rd place in the Colour Section!

Twenty-seven camera clubs took part in the Irish Photographic Federation National Shield 2018 at Palmerstown, Dublin today. Congratulations to Malahide Camera Club are the winners of the Irish Photographic Federation National Shield for 2018! Over all results will appear shortly on the IPF website and in the December edition of the IPF newsletter.
