For the first time ever, the PermaJet Print Academy is coming to Ireland in association with Barker Photographic.

First established at PermaJet’s premises in Stratford-upon-Avon, the renowned training school has taught hundreds of photographers how to bring their images to life through the art of print around the UK.

Now you can join esteemed PermaJet Lecturer, Michael O’Sullivan, in multiple locations in Ireland. Michael is the Former Chairman and founder of Cork International Salon of Photography, past president of the Irish Photographic Federation, and is a very experienced photographer in both the amateur and professional arenas, having had his work published internationally.

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about printing from one of Ireland’s most respected and well known photographers and fine art printers.

The awards, which are open to members of the Press Photographers Association of Ireland, celebrate the very best of Irish press photography. This stunning collection of images features nine categories; news, daily life & people, nature & the environment, politics, sports action, sports feature, portrait, art & entertainment and reportage. The winning photographs are on display until 28th May.

IPF Nature Group Workshop in Enniscorthy

The Nature Group’s objective is the promotion of excellence in all forms of nature photography, and with this in mind we will be running a Nature Photography Workshop for clubs in the South East. It is scheduled for Sunday 23rd October, 2016 in the Riverside Park Hotel, Enniscorthy, Co Wexford from 10.00 until 16.30. There will be four experienced presenters, Jack Malins ARPS, Bill Power FIPF EFIAP, John Fox and Malcolm McCamley AIPF, and the topics covered will include all aspects of Bird, Flora, Fungi, Insect and Mammal photography. The workshop will be suitable for all levels of experience and will include an explanation of the FIAP Rules for Nature Photography as they now stand.

The Art of Lighting Workshop

The Art of Lighting Workshop

You will be delighted to hear that Seamus Costello FIPF. ASIFGP. will conduct a workshop on the Art of Lighting. Seamus is one of Ireland’s foremost fashion and wedding photographers.

The workshop will he held in the Lyrath Estate Hotel on Sunday, 29th May from 10.00 am – 4.00 pm. The workshop will include expert advice/tuition on wireless flash set up, mastering transmitters/receivers, balancing flash to daylight, directing and posing your model, lighting concepts, modifiers and lots more. The workshop will be a mix of expert tuition and practical application. Seamus has hired, Chereena Miller, International Model and Miss Jamaica UK finalist for the workshop.
