The countdown to our 33rd Photographic Exhibition has started in earnest with members busy printing and mounting their photographs. The committee is busy behind the scenes cleaning and painting the exhibition boards, preparing the venue, ordering refreshments and generally ensuring that the venue will be in tiptop shape for the opening and exhibition.
The venue will be open on Thursday, 4th August for members to hang their photos. At this stage all the exhibitors have been contacted and given their assigned space number and the wall type. You are reminded that your space size is 4′ x 4′, that all mounts should be identical (consistent with each other and of the same colour), and that they should be mounted by 9pm on the 4th August. Members of the committee will be available during the day to assist but members are asked to bring their own material, equipment etc for mounting. Don’t forget to download your exhibition form from the website.
As the exhibition will be open to the public every day from 5th to 14th August we require members who are exhibiting to offer their services in manning the venue. So far we have slots that remain unfilled and we ask exhibitors, who haven’t already subscribed their support, to contact Andy at 0872331548. He will be delighted to add your name to the rota.
The best of luck to all our members who are exhibiting. Please tell your family and friends about this event and encourage them to visit us during the Arts Week Festival. Thanks to the committee members who have put a huge effort into making this exhibition a huge success.
