The second annual Irish Times Amateur Photographer of the Year competition is now open to entrants. After it’s successful launch last year the competition in being run again. (Links to the full details are posted below).

This is an excellent opportunity for KPS members to compete at a national level, so for those of us who haven’t competed at this level before, this is a chance to step out of our comfort zone and give it a shot.

The competition is only open to amateur photographers and carries two prizes of €1,000 – one for the overall winner of the Photographer of the Year competition and one for best overall image.

The judges include Frank Miller (Irish Times), Michael O’Sullivan (IPF), Des Clinton (IPF), among others.

Conditions of Entry  – Image spec and sizing , entry fee details, etc.
Category Details page  (Monochrome, Colour, Open, Travel, Nature, Street and Portrait).
Entrants may submit entries in as many of these categories as they wish.
Closing Date: Nov, 9th.
