In Tuesday’s Irish Times (Feb 25th 2014) there’s an article about a Dublin woman, Jackie Campbell, who won the British Society of Underwater Photographers photography competition this year.
Jackie used a Canon Powershot S90 compact camera to take the honours in this year’s event. She’s the first person in the 30 year history of the award to win it using a compact camera.
In Jackie’s own words: “ . . . in some cases it’s technique and composition that has more to do with [a photograph] than what camera took the image”.
