Congratulations to all those who entered our recent monthly competition. The theme was “Creative” and our judge was Bill Power FIPF, EFIAP, ARPS and Irish Photographer of the Year 2016. The winners were: Karen O’ Hara (Advanced), Lukasz Piatkowski (Intermediate) and Fergus Alonso (Novice). Studio Light Workshop
This follows on from the last workshop which was very popular with members. It’s planned for Thursday, 9th March. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN PROPS.
Transition Year Photography Competition
The closing date for the competition is 24th March and the winners Awards Night will be held in the Springhill Hotel on Thursday, 27th April at 7.30pm. We were successful again this year in securing an Arts Act Grant from Kilkenny County Council to help with the running costs of the competition. The major prizes are sponsored by Nikon and White’s Pharmacy.
Irish Photographic Federation
All distinction sittings for 2017 are now full. The IPF National Club Championships 2017 will be held in Mullingar on 13th and 14th May.
SACC – Southern Association of Camera Clubs
The SACC Interclubs Competition 2017 will be held in the Loreto Secondary School, Granges Road, Kilkenny on Sunday, 9th April. There are three sections to this competition – Colour print, monochrome print and projected image. Each section consists of a panel of 10 images + 2 substitute images.
