The Railway Preservation Society of Ireland are holding a number of events in the coming month. These may be of interest to members as a photo opportunity. One event takes in Kilkenny on August 23rd. The train will be in Kilkenny from 12:45 to 16:20, before returning to Dublin.

The Marble City

Dublin – Kilkenny & return

Treat yourself to a trip in vintage carriages from the early 1960s, travelling behind a vintage steam locomotive to the Marble City of Kilkenny.
We will be playing music with commentary during the trip along the line while you enjoy the journey through the landscape of the counties of Dublin, Kildare and Kilkenny.
