If you’re using a Windows PC you may need to take precautions regarding this.

Malware: For those running a Windows PCs you should read the post on the “MakeUseOf” website about the PC malware called Cryptolocker (See link below).
This, apparently, is a particularly nasty piece of malware that could encrypt your files and prevent you getting access to them if you didn’t fork our €300 within 3 days. After that they are unrecoverably.
There have been previous variants of this type of malware, including the “Garda” one, but this version is one of the most malicious to date.
