We had a full house last night for the judging of the ARCHITECTURE competition. The judge was Barry Walsh LIPF, AFIAP from Wexford.  Barry’s special interests lie in seascape and architectural photography and we were fortunate to have him as a guest speaker earlier in the year. His architectural work demonstrates a sublime style which marks him out as one of the exciting emerging talents in Irish photography.

Barry critique of the images was very fair and detailed, displaying his knowledge and expertise of architectural photography. Two of the main messages of the night were to make sure your sensor is clean and that your verticals are vertical. Very simple but very important. After the judging Barry was generous in sharing some of his post-processing methods in Lightroom, Photoshop and Nik Software. He has an in-depth knowledge of the post-processing technique. It would be great to have him back another time for a workshop in post-processing methods in Photoshop and Lightroom.

Thanks to all the members who entered the ARCHITECTURE competition and congratulations to the winners.
